Virtual Lab: Collisions
Today in class we worked through a free response problems then did a virtual lab: Collisions.
If you did not finish in class, please finish at home. I also need a few more Ballistic Pendulum labs and pre-labs from last week.

Ballistic Pendulum
Today we used a ballistic pendulum to find the launch velocity of a projectile. People have been using ballistic pendulums in this way for over a century.
First we completed a pre-lab to discover how a ballistic pendulum works: Ballistic Pendulum Pre-Lab
For your lab itself, this is what you need to turn in on your own paper:
1. Data table
2. Math (equation from end of pre-lab)
3. Answer
4. Name two errors, explain what they did to your data (mathematically), and how you could minimize or eliminate them in the future.

Series of Collsions and Two Kinds of Collisions
Finding the average force exerted on a target being hit by a stream of projectiles:
Series of Collisions
An overview of the two kinds of collisions. You might already know these from last year.

Lecture: Momentum Review - Some New Stuff
This is mostly the review we did in class on Friday, but I added a little more so it's worth watching.

Center of Mass Lecture
Today in class we went over some AP exam paperwork, then we had some fun trying to pick up chairs and touch our feet to explain center of mass. Here are two videos that dive into the quantitative side of finding center of mass.
Center of Mass System of Particles
Center of Mass Systems of Particles Example
Please watch these tonight, then try your new WebAssign homework.
